Jiske van der Giessen
In her role as a PhD candidate within the Together for greener healthcare team, Jiske van der Giessen focuses on the research component of the programme. She initially contributed to the development of the intervention overview and is now studying the effect and process of implementing sustainability initiatives in nursing units.
Jiske has extensive experience as a nurse in elderly care, having worked in nursing homes, home care, and geriatric rehabilitation. She obtained her master’s degree in Nursing Science from Utrecht University and has been part of the Together for greener healthcare programme team since October 2024.
