Selection of sustainability initiatives for nursing units: Delphi round 2 has begun
As part of the Delphi study, we are working with a panel of nurses and sustainability coordinators to develop a menu of sustainability initiatives suitable for implementation in the nursing units of Dutch hospitals. Implementation will start later this year.
Green champions
From our panel of 72 participants in the Delphi process, we received an impressive 68 fully completed questionnaires in the first round. The enthusiasm of this panel, consisting of nurses and sustainability coordinators, is highly motivating and something we are very proud of. Last week, we launched round 2, and we have already received 26 completed questionnaires so far.
In the first round, consensus was reached on 45 initiatives considered suitable for implementation in nursing units across the Netherlands. For 8 initiatives, agreement has not yet been achieved. The feedback from round 1 has been analysed by category, and based on this input, several initiatives will be presented again in the second round.
To arrive at a final menu of around twenty initiatives, a third and final questionnaire will follow after this round. This will be a prioritisation round, where participants indicate which initiatives they believe should be included in the final menu.
Trees
For every participant in round 1, we will plant one tree, and for every participant in this second round, we will plant two. We are already looking forward to seeing how many trees we can add after the next round!
